Mrs. Converse’s preschool class has been studying penguins. We’ve learned about the life cycle and compared it to other life cycles we’ve learned about this year, too. Literacy, math, letters/letter sounds, fine motor, and art are some of the areas we’ve enjoyed with our penguin activities. Directed drawings are always a class favorite and the penguins did not disappoint! 🖤🐧🧡 #TVPride
Just a reminder that it's important that students wear cold weather clothes when riding our buses. We have a great mechanic and great drivers who keep our buses safe and in top shape; however, you never know when one may break down on the route and the bus has no heat. Wearing short sleeve shirts and/or shorts and also wearing no coat is not a good idea when the weather is as cold as it was this morning or most mornings. Thanks for your help with this.
In December Jenna Steffen from ISU Extension office visited the 4th grade classroom to read The Nutcracker and challenge the students to build a mousetrap. The students had very creative solutions and most definitely would have caught that pesky mouse 🐁!!! #TVPride

Turkey Valley will be two hours late tomorrow, January 26th. The early out has been canceled and no morning activities.
To allow our teams and fans to arrive home at an earlier time, tonight's Basketball Games at Central Elkader will use the following schedule. JV Girls will start at 4 and use a 20 minute running clock with no half-time. JV Boys will follow at approximately 4:20 and also have a 20 minute running clock. The varsity girls are scheduled to start at 5:00. The varsity boys will play immediately after the varsity girls finish their game.
