
Our 7th-12th grade students enjoyed a wonderful wellness day at the rec center at Wartburg. They were able to participate in many activities including swimming, indoor track, rock climbing wall, tennis, racquetball, and basketball court, and many fitness classes. Thank you to Wartburg for welcoming our students! Thank you to Natalie for organizing and thank you to our student senate for organizing games when we returned to school. Thank you TV community for stepping up to help with the TVEA Red Cross Blood Mobile. We were able to collect 108 units of blood and help save lives. Students and staff enjoyed assisting you and hope you'll be back with us next April.

Our elementary students have been practicing their jump rope skills. Today Ms. Hahn gave the 2nd grade students directions and then asked, "Will we fail? Is it ok to fail?" A student spoke up and explained that failing is proof that they are trying. Perfect explanation! #TVPride

Mrs. Carlton's preschool class won a squat challenge put on by Hy-Vee Kids Fit! Hy-Vee representatives came to school for an assembly to present the students with a certificate, t-shirts, and swag bags. Way to go preschoolers!!! The 5th and 6th grade students joined the preschoolers in some fitness challenges. #TVPride

Jenna Steffen, Youth Outreach Coordinator from the Iowa State University Extension Office, visited Mr. Reicks' third grade classroom today! Ms. Steffen read a book about plants to the students and then each student had the opportunity to plant a seed (corn, tomato, broccoli, etc.). Jessica Rochford from Iowa Farm Bureau visited the 4th grade classroom to teach a lesson on “Mixture & Solution using Dairy”. This lesson explained the journey milk takes to get to your table, the different dairy cattle breeds and showed students how a solution can be turned into a mixture by making homemade ice cream. Fun was had by all! #TVPride
