Mr. Amos had the opportunity to attend the Iowa Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference. He was able to attend sessions to continue learning, catch up with old colleagues, and grow his network of math teachers to collaborate with.
In addition to attending, Mr. Amos was asked to be a speaker and one of four panelists in a session. He answered questions and gave advice to incoming, new, and current math teachers from across the state. He loved giving back to the math community, who has given him so much.
Mr. Amos is excited to bring back what he learned to TV. #TVPride

Last week our 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students participated in a Water Rocks! presentation. They learned all about wetlands including what their purpose is, what we can do to protect them, and how they play an important role in the migration of many animals. Students played habitat hopscotch by pretending to migrate from Canada to Mexico and learned how difficult the trip can be when wetlands disappear. To learn about the many, many organisms that live in wetlands they played a little game of BINGO. Great job representing TV! #TVPride

These photographs were taken by Mr. Jurrens with his drone on September 27, 2023 and give a perfect bird's eye view of Turkey Valley. The pictures are part of a grant-writing project that was launched by Abby Schmitt (class of 2023) and picked up by two current students in our IBN class this fall. Lee and Drew have been working with NICC Foundation to aid us in a grant request. With the help of Mr. Jurens and the folks at NICC,the Iowa BIG North program is making great things happen. #TVPride
