Kindergarten and 7th grade continue to enjoy their Friday buddy time! This is a huge perk of having all our students in one building! #TVPride

IBN (Iowa Big North) students in conjunction with student senate ran a week long Habitat for Humanity fundraiser. Students could pay to wear a hat every day during the week while staff paid to wear jeans. 7th-12th grade advisor groups had a penny war during lunch each day with the winning group earning a pizza party. An hour Friday afternoon was set aside for a bean bag tournament, music BINGO, and the highlight of getting to tape Mrs. Hoy to the gym wall. Students could purchase strips of tape to apply to Mrs. Hoy. We raised over $1300 for Habitat for Humanity! It was a fantastic week filled with Trojan Pride and raising money for a good cause! #TVPride

Good luck to our Robotics Team as they travel to the Corn Dog Classic hosted by Cedar Falls. This is a scrimmage opportunity with different teams from around Iowa to provide practice before the Regional Competition in March. There's no set matches and the teams are able to get on a practice floor to practice individual parts of the competition in the morning. Then in the afternoon there will be practice exhibition matches similar to the Regional Competition where teams join together to create alliances and compete against another alliance. Best of luck! #TVPride

TVEF Funds a Night at the Theatre
Thanks to the generosity of the Turkey Valley Education Foundation, Turkey Valley's speech students were provided the opportunity to attend a professional theatre performance at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Art Center. Students attended the opening night of Come From Away on Friday, February 9th.
The Broadway hit musical, Come From Away, takes place in the moments following the tragic events in the United States on September 11, 2001. As the US airspace was closed thousands of travelers were on planes crossing the Atlantic bound for the east coast. They were diverted to an airport near Gander, NewFoundland where they would spend several days coping with the tragedies of that morning, but also learning about what it means to be there for one another. Thank you TVEF! #TVPride

Mrs. Leibold took a group of 7th and 8th graderstudents to Math Counts Competition today. We hope they had a great day! #TVPride

Reminder: no school Friday and Monday for Turkey Valley students. #TVPride
