The Turkey Valley Athletic Boosters are requesting any player that was either a member of the Turkey Valley 1982 state fall championship softball team or the 1983 state runner-up softball team to join them and be recognized at halftime of the Friday, September 13th football game vs West Central. The star all-state pitcher from that team, Mary Lensing Dreckman, will be inducted into the Turkey Valley Hall of Fame that night. It would be great for her teammates to be there to get reunited and reminisce. After the football game, please join us for a party at Jackson Heights with cake and punch to honor the inductees. Also, being inducted in the TV Hall of Fame that evening are Larry Bergmann, outstanding three-sport star and the first individual state wrestling champion (1972) in school history, along with longtime TV school nurse Shirley Murray who faithfully served the district for almost 40 years. Please join us on Friday, September 13th at halftime of the football game to honor these three outstanding individuals as well as pay tribute to the legendary softball teams of 1982 and 1983. #TVPride

Turkey Valley's Cross Country meet this evening at Ed-Co has been canceled due to the heat.
Information for Turkey Valley's Week 1 Football Game:
-Game is Saturday, August 31st at 7 p.m. at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines
(4440 Mills Civic Parkway West Des Moines, IA 50265)
-Tickets for adults/k-12 students is $7, non-school aged children are free
-Turkey Valley fans should enter the stadium using the North Gate
-Admission is good for both games on Saturday (there is another game at 3 p.m. in Des Moines)
-Turkey Valley will be the visiting team and will be on the East Sideline.
-Reminder there is no baby powder, confetti, artificial noisemakers, balls, masks, or signs allowed
-This game will be broadcasted on the radio on 104.7
