We love when Hanna Meyer comes to visit our classrooms. Hanna is with the Winneshiek County Conservation office and came to the preschool classes to share a lesson on insects. Tonight we play Don Bosco at home at 7 p.m. We are recognizing our Youth Teams during halftime. If you're unable to make the game it will be livestreamed as always and will also be on KVIK.
Cross Country:
Saturday's XC meet at Cresco they are going to run the JH boys and girls at the same time starting at 9:30. High School Girls at 10 and Boys at 10:40.
Volleyball:
Varsity Volleyball is at the Oelwein Volleyball Tournament on Saturday with their first match starting at 10 a.m. Admission is $7 and must be purchased on Bound or with a card at the gate.

Homecoming Spirit Day Highlights - junior high & high school afternoon games #TVPride
Today is Custodian Appreciation Day where we get to shout from the rooftops about the TOP NOTCH crew we have at Turkey Valley! The amount of verbal applause they get (whether they hear it directly or hear it second-hand) with people that walk through our school is continuous because of the cleanliness of our building and ability to on-the-spot help with needs. The IGHSAU is hosting a "Future Champions" Youth Volleyball Clinic on Sunday, November 2nd from 4-6 p.m. for 6th-8th grade girls at GreenState Fieldhouse. They are taking the first 100 participants. Registration opens Monday, October 6th at 10 a.m. Campers will receive a camp t-shirt, volleyball, and 2 complimentary tickets to any day of the 2025 State Volleyball Tournament. Trojan Events for September 26: Good luck Varsity Football! #TVPride
Time to Celebrate! We had two soil teams compete at the District FFA Soil Competition at Hawkeye College this week. Congrats to Soils Team 1 as they took 1st place! There were 54 teams, consisting of 177 individuals. They will now be competing at the State Competition on Oct 9th at ISU. Nicholas Bernhard placed 1st, Hunter Kruse placed 3rd and Trae Keel placed 7th as Team 1. Dominick Reicks placed 26th, Miles Holthaus placed 82nd and Eli Holthaus placed 92nd as Team 2, with a final standing for team 2 as 17th. Thank you Neil Sass from NRCS for helping our gentleman prepare for this! Good things do come from playing in the "dirt". #TVPride
