Hard Surface Roads Only – New plan as of January 2017

Turkey Valley will no longer have pick up / drop off sites and times in place for a hard surface
road plan. We will instead have drivers contact families as needed when routes/roads are
There are numerous reasons why roads may be questionable for busing - ice, snow, rain - wash
outs or floods, etc.  We have roads in all directions and sometimes one route is just fine while
another is not. It is hard to say that the hard surface plan is in place when it is truly only needed
for one or two routes or even just a portion of one route. Also, one day it may be the gravels that
are questionable and the next time it may be the hard surface roads that are the issue.
When the roads are questionable, the drivers will contact you, or you can contact the driver, to
arrange a safe pick up or drop off site for your child(ren). If your driver has not contacted you,
they will plan to run their route as normal. We appreciate your cooperation.
As always, if you have any questions, please call Turkey Valley.
Thank you.

Make up Days for School 2017-2018

We have missed 3 days of school due to weather.  Two days are built in snow days.  So we will need to make up one day.

The snow make up day will be made up on Thursday March 29, 2018.  This will be a 1:00 dismissal day.  (Wednesday, March 28 will now be a regular dismissal day – NOT a 1:00 dismissal).

The scheduled days off of Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 2 will remain “No School” days for spring break.

If we miss any additional days, these will be made up at the end of the school year.
