Amanda Lawless-Anderson - Guidance Counselor

Hi! My name is Amanda Lawless Anderson and I am the school counselor at Turkey Valley. I have been a Turkey Valley Trojan since 1995 and feel strongly about giving students a stable and welcoming environment to learn. Here at TV, I am a member of our team that helps students be successful in the classroom as well as working to support students, staff, parents, and community members by promoting healthy choices and lifestyles.

Another portion of my job is supporting 8th-12th grade students with interest inventories, career information, postsecondary planning, scholarship searches and assessments using ihaveaplaniowa. I am here to answer questions and to act as a resource for both students and parents.

Mrs. Sue Prehm is also an important part of our Guidance Office. She is here to help with student transcripts, arranging college visits, helping with student records, conducting ACCUPLACER testing, and providing information to students and parents.

Here is a little information about my educational background. I earned a BA from Upper Iowa University in elementary education, psychology, and health education. I earned my Master's Degree in School Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa. I am a member of the ACA (American Counseling Association). Again, I would appreciate your feedback.

Go Trojans!!!
